Promise to update

I will make a promise to myself and post it here so that I have to stick to it since it's public. Here goes......I promise to start blogging more and making this a better personal diary for my friends and family. There.......I said it and now I have to stick to it. I may change the look to get me fired up and make this feel new.

Easter weekend

This was a fun filled weekend. Last week I shot many baseball, softball and volleyball games. I have not yet uploaded all of them so my Easter weekend photos will be posted soon. We were at camp and the Osprey were nesting so I captured a lot of shots of them flying around and working their nests. Great stuff, so I will have to post my favorites. If you want to see what I have been doing, check out my website IMAGES BY JENIFER CLARK. There are all types of sports and various other fun layouts for my family and friends.

Wander

I played around with a few effects I have and came up with this one. I loved how the kids just blended in on the dock.

Monday, March 30

Erin posted these on her facebook page so I copied them and made this layout for her. I loved playing with the beach photos. The special effects really made the water/sky stand out. Wish I was with them on this trip.

Sunday, March 29

Basketball poster of Ryan

Just wanted to post my favorite sports layout of Ryan. I even got a WOW reaction from Tom, Ryan and Grandpa Ed on this one so I have accomplished something!!!

blog update

This is my personal blog so anything here is about me and my family. Sad to say that this has taken a back seat to my photography site/blog. I will have to work on this so I get in the habit of updating this to events and photos of us. Keep a check on me if you like what you see.

Day at the zoo

This photo was from a trip to my friends Julie's where we met in Nashville and took the kids to the zoo. We had a great time just walking around and I have never seen so many animals so active at one time. This was my favorite photo of the day by far so I had to do my fun fx to it. The quote says: "While we try to teach our children about life, our children teach us what life is all about."

What do you think?

I had a time getting this blogger layout to work but I think it's doing as it's told now. I have a few things I'm working on and one being some book layouts for Freshman - Seniors on my photography website. I have completed my son's baseball book you can find that HERE. The other books will be done soon and I will post another link so you can see the different versions. One main thing I am working towards is having a few templates to sell here on this blog that can be used to create books or layout. They will be psd templates that are customized or you can buy the final version in png. Look for those in the near future. So much is coming and I'm anxious to get these open for you.

Here is the cover......

Absent but not gone for good

I'm so sorry I have neglected this blog. I promise to give it some love and attention just in the near future and post photos of things that are personal. I have been posting so many things of other people on my photography site that I have put my things on the back burner. I will do my best to get this back to being a hot spot for me. I will even be posting some things in the next day or so to show what I have been doing with my time.

It's also needing a new header and a different theme......check back soon for updates.

Saturday, November 1

Ancient (Theme 112)

Maybe no so ancient, but I sure wasn't around when this was open. Although some may differ with me on that one.

Friday, October 31

Mask (Theme 181)

We were in the visitors center in the Smoky Mountians and Ryan like to play with everything. He tried on the mask and Tom put the hat on and it was so funny so I took his photo.

Tangled (Theme 69)

Walking around Cades Cove and Regan spotted this under the railing on an old house. Spider eggs.......I think. Uck but the web is tangled so it fit the theme.

Cafe (Theme 84)

I know it's not so much a cafe but close enough......the red roof area is the outdoor bar. It's a great place to come get ribs and its close to Club Ed!

Chilly (Theme 243)

I know it doesn't look it but this is our summer scene and now it's quite chilly. The point you see on the lake in the center is Yarberry and we like to spend a great deal of time here boathing, camping and relaxing. It's also known as Club Ed!

Clothes (Theme 178)

Z-man and Ryan were playing and they both decided to dress Z up in his uniform. I love how the pants fit......too "STINKIN" funny!!! Ryan came in and said get you camera you have to see this.....he was right. It was hysterical and Z danced and posed for me....I have proof!

Jewelry (Theme 329)

This is my charm bracelet........well, not really a real one but close enough and I like it better. It doesn't bother my wrist. Ha!!! These are all recent photos of us.

Knot (Theme 11)

Here we were flying and the kids were more thrilled with the golf cart. Funny how that works out.

PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!!!!

This is my first time entering a contest with one of my photos. They asked for portraits and I just finished one and I had to enter it. Please vote for me.......if I win one of the top 2 prises I will give this family this portrait as a gift.........all you have to do is click on the vote link next to the thumbnail and vote for my entry.

Thanks a bunch......it ends at the end of October. Wish me luck.

Wednesday, October 29

Creek (Theme 351)

My friends from Australia were in and we ventured all over our area and this was taken at the Y near Cades Cove. She stopped when I called her name and looked up......no pose here, she stopped on some rocks so she wouldn't fall in the creek. The water was really cold.

Paint (Theme 102)

I went to a Fall Festival in Corryton with a friend of mine that does face painting. They do a wonderful job so if you happen to see them "Making Faces" at any event you will see a long line......they are that good. Yes.........this is me and I was painted. Ryan is the football face in green for his Halloween Dance.

Updating soon

Sorry I have not updated lately I have been working on my sports photography that can be found here. This site will be updated soon since I have some great photos to post. I need to be cloned so I can work here, work on my sports photos, work at home.......you know the drill. Thanks for looking and keep an eye out for the new updates.

Tuesday, October 14

Turbine (Theme 216)

The Dam in Loudon has this large turbine sitting in the parking area for all to see. No wonder they have HUGE signs that say WARNING, DANGEROUS WATERS. After seeing this you can bet I will not be in the area with even a finger out of the boat.

Monday, October 13

Railing (Theme 30)

At the "Y" just before you turn to go to Cades Cove there is a swimming hole that is very popular. What caught my eye this time was the railing on the other side of the road. Everyone joked on me about photographing it but this photo is one of my favorite and I don't care what they say.......Like it ever stopped me before! HA!

Sunday, October 12

Pumpkin Head (Theme 276)

At the Christmas Place Al came up to me and said, "Have you ever seen a pumpkin head?" I said, "No, but I bet you are going to show me!" Well, he did. The topic of conversation around pumpkins with Marg and Al was that our pumpkins here in the USA are bright orange and in Australia theirs are a bluish gray and one of the main ingredients for soups and veggies. I have only used pumpkin for pies......I think I like our version better in thought so I will have to go to Australia to test it out.

Saturday, October 11

Puddles (Theme 274)

The Chilhowee water level is down so work can be done on the dam. We were able to walk down the boat ramp and out on what used to be filled with water. In various places there are puddles and this one showed the view behind the lake. It was even full of minos.

Friday, October 10

Pepper (Theme 82)

On the visit to Pigeon Forge, TN with Marg and Al we stopped by the Christmas Place. Outside of the shops there are gardens, tables and decorations. These peppers were growing there and I just loved the colors.

Thursday, October 9

Moonlight (Theme 346)

Loudon Dam in Loudon, TN and we were there at dusk. The lights were just beautiful as you can see in this photo.

Wednesday, October 8

Money (Theme 60)

How about this for a colorful note. This is the $10 bill in Australian Currency. The $5 is pink, $20 is orange and there are other colors but Marg and Al didn't have any on them to show us. What a beautiful bill.

Missed (Theme 136)

This is the starting point for entering "Tail of the Dragon" which is a famous place for bikers of all ages. It's very dangerous as you can see because someone missed the curve. The Dragon is 316 curves in 11 miles and takes you from Maryville, TN to Robbinsville, NC. There are some fast records for completing the dragon and because of this record the death toll keeps rising. It's considered to be one of the most dangerous roads to travel. If you happen to cross The Dragon........don't get bitten!!!

Leaf (Theme 245)

We stopped at the "Y" at the split between Cades Cove and Gatlinburg to let Marg and Al see a summer hot spot. The water was down and they walked across the creek jumping on rocks and fallen tree limbs and boy was the water cold. Here are a few minos and leaves in one of the shallow areas.

Jagged (Theme 255)

Regan is holding up the paw of a black bear found in the Smoky Mountains. Those claws sure are jagged and sharp. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of a swat from that paw.

Invention (Theme 65)

Touring Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains with our friends from Australia we were lucky enough to see the blacksmith shop in action.

Float (Theme 195)

Walking on the docks in Loudon Ryan played with these so bouies I thought it was fitting for a float theme.

Duplicate (Theme 193)

This is a duplicate because I have already posted a Church in the past. The Cades Cove Church is a highly visited spot in the Cove and even has a working piano that my friend played when we went in. Way to go Marg for your musical talent.

Dam (Theme 300)

Soft spot in the Dam at Chilhowee and the water was lowered 35-40 feet. We are seeing things that were once deep under the surface. Here is a view of a van that Tom dove a while back and Ryan playing with rocks. The water should be up near Regan's feet.......really low isn't it!!

Saturday, October 4

Monument (Theme 282)

Tom and I are standing on a bridge at Chilhowee Lake that is normally under water. There were some "Soft Spots" at the dam and they were doing repairs. We walked underwater so to speak.....or all over that should be under about 35-40" of water. Ryan took our picture but keeps shooting....my fault for not turning off the continuous shoot. Guess that's what I get for letting a 10 yr old use my camera!!!

Park (Theme 35)

We went to the balloon festival and had a great time. There were over 20 balloons including the Enegrizer bunnie that was 165' tall. They all were beautiful and the weather was cool/overcast. Not great for letting the balloons go up but then if they did we wouldn't have had the great light show.

Monday, September 29

Chronicles (Theme 75)

This is one of the pages in the Alcoa High School Football Program for 2008 that is now available at any game until they are sold out. The full program can be found for viewing only on my photography site. www.imagesbyjeniferclark.com it's listed under sports.

Saturday, September 27

Girls (Theme 261)

First game of the season and here are 2 Freshman. We all had a great time watching the game, even Lauren who was visiting from a different school.

Friday, September 26

Picnic (Theme 280)

The City picnic is always a fun event were we get to see all the city employees and their families and we all have a grand time. Here are Regan and I with a splash of Darren in the background. He just seems to pop up out of no where!!!

Thursday, September 25

Study (Theme 302)

I like to look at the game from different sides and getting the shot of the players back is one of my favorites. You don't know what they are thinking and it makes the page open to any kind of scene. Here Ryan is studying!!!

Wednesday, September 24

Spider Webs (Theme 70)

Here is a little bit of last year on my spooky page. Halloween spider webs are so much fun because from a distance they look so real. Ryan was a football player and it looked like a rough game!!!

Message (Theme 66)

This is Bo and he sure lives up to the saying I have on the page. "Dogs come when called....Cats take a message and get back to you!!!" Isn't that the truth. Bo has a stack of messages but he is not returning calls right now......must be out to lunch!!!

Stars (Theme 138)

Here is my boy flying high up in the stars.....He got to fly last Saturday morning with a friend of Tom's and he flew Ryan around for over 30 minutes and they even went over Neyland Stadium on game day where UT played the Florida Gators.

Wired (Theme 228)

The girls are on opposite ends of the braces. Aren't they cute.......I will do an after shot when Amber gets her braces off but we have a long time before that happens seeing that she just got her's on.

Friday, September 19

Diary (Theme 21)

How about an online diary of a little girl with a pouty face??? Now she is still a cutie but a moody cutie going to her new school in Alaska!!! I am using this as my diary theme because in a sense all of the photo here on my blog tell a story. Some are better than others and this one is funny.

Wednesday, September 17

Heart (Theme 229)

Not only are the fireworks in front of downtown business in Knoxville, TN but on the other side of the water is Baptist Hospital. It's one of the best hospitals for cardiac patience and I thought this was appropriate.

Tuesday, September 16

Explode (Theme 154)

The theme song for the movie "Jaws" was playing leading up to this explosion on the water and it we effective.

Monday, September 15

Shades (Theme 52)

Here are some Hotties at the pool this summer. I love the shades girls....you look great.

Sunday, September 14

I'm not mentioning any names but if you live around here you know who these 2 are.

I know they are going to kill me for posting this but they posed and I didn't ask so this is what they get.

Are area STUD-MUFFINS!!!

Light (Theme 91)

Fireworks waterfall. Everyone looks forward to seeing this every year. It sure is a sight when your on the water as you can see here.

Pattern (Theme 176)

Fireworks in a pattern. Love watching the bridge as things are being fired off. It glows and drips with fire. Gotta love Boomsday for this reason. Also known as Labor Day here in the United States.

Fairground (Theme 255)

This is Knoxville, TN's Boomsday festival. The safe place to be for this is in a boat....no lines and it's more fun. The ride home is something we didn't enjoy. Imagine everyone heading in the same direction at the same time and trying to get in front of the next boat. It was NUTS!!!!

Town (Theme 256)

Here is downtown Knoxville. You see Boomsday traffic on the water and the building in Knoxville on the first photo. The second photo shows the Left side view of the first photo. The University of Tennessee Stadium and the Sunsphere.
