Splash contest at the city picnic and "Lil Hoss" won his splash class. He got a gift card for Wal-mart which is still in his wallet. I'm sure it will be spent on an airplane of some sort.

Plant (Theme 290)

At a football game I wandered around until kickoff and found this great grass that I had to take a photo off. I did an effect on it to bring out the blues.

Basket (Theme 297)

I don't think this basket needs but else because from here you can watch a movie or show on the ipod and have your choice of which on you want the large or small and then call someone or surf the net on the iphone. With all the technology ifeeling left out since I don't have a video ipod or iphone. I will just borrow iregan's.

Mirror (Theme 28)

I had no idea what to do with the photo of Ryan that you see in the lower left but then I focused on his eyes and the design came to me. He doesn't care for the flowers and the butterfly but thats more for me.

Letter (Theme 338)

I'm going to be creating these photo letters and numbers for my store soon. After I finished this layout I and received a few comments I knew I had to work on this for artisticscrapdesigns. It's fun to show off a couple of photos in a small area.

Stripey (Theme 33)

There is no better photo for the stripey theme than a football field during football season. It's fun creating these sports layouts and I sure hope he likes them when he's older. Right now I get the comment: Cool, nice, ok, yeah, aww MOM!!! I don't care, I'm loving these and so will they........I'm just not sure when.

Frown (Theme 336)

So much fun to have the camera on them for the good and the bad. One of them made a face a me similar to the one you see and I said do it again so I can get your picture.....they did and I had to create this. I'm sticking by the saying so maybe I can earn some money. LOL.

Feminine (Theme 93)

We were at the football field after school one day and as you can see the wind was blowing. No matter how many times she pushed her hair back it was in her face again. I just took the picture and it turned out to be one of my favorites.

Festival (Theme 54)

Ryan and Bryce when we were in the thick of the Boomsday festival on the water. These are actually 3 photos merged to create this fun ORANGE layout.....I had to do it because it is UT Vol territory and that is all ORANGE!!!

Splash (Theme 263)

What a great time we had this year at the City picnic. Here is a glimpse and really the splash camp is Ryan but I like the photo of Tom's splash better and I do these layouts for the kids all the time so I thought this one of the big guy at the picnic was fun to put together.

Torch (Theme 118)

Yes, this place was torched but not on purpose. The owners were trying to burn a bee hive that they had killed in the fire pit and there area around the pit was not clear so it caught on fire and that lead to the house. The wild thing here is the photo in the center. It has 3 faces...one if obvious and the other 2 are small. One is a side view and below that it looks like he is reaching out to the firefighters.....you never know what your get until you study a photo....so wild!!!

I was just excited about this so I had to post about it. Smoke (Theme 214)

Friday night football and the team has a helmet to run thru as they enter the field. It was a great idea to fill it with smoke and yes, Alcoa smoked the other team 63 to 3.

Code (Theme 268)

The code here is "one time" and every time that is said we all follow it up in unison with ...at band camp....I got a chicken stuck in my tuba... Too funny if you ask me and she is quite the trooper in that she just smiles if off. Sorry, Lucy but you know we love you!

Forest (Theme 365)

I used the forest theme for this layout using all photos from 2008 and even one of my favorite butterflies that was in Molly's area. The background is from Boyerville Scraps one of the creative teams I am on.

Games (Theme 218)

Ryan is now a big man on campus being in the middle school. Yes, he is playing with kids he own age and Yes we promise to stop feeding him........NOT!!! I did this layout for a creative team I am on for Boyerville Scraps and I used some of my creations also.

School (Theme 328)

Here they are after school one day when I had to take some photos of the Senior football players so the school can make the programs for the games.

Yo-Yo (Theme 17)

Yo-Yo girls as one went up the other went down, it was hysterical and I was crying in laughter as I scrolled thru the photos. Thanks girls you make my day.

Trick (Theme 198)

Yes, now this is really a trick, no a fall. Mitch is doing what his wife likes to call the Enema Ski.....I guess he needed his Colon cleansed thoroughly....you have to say that line like Sherman Clumps mother did in the Nutty Professor.

Take Away (Theme 125)

What a fun day and somehow it's a husbands revenge when he can steer the boat to flip the wife.....here he took away her flotation device....I'm sure payback will be in order once again, aye?

Rocket (Theme 296)

Right after this picture was taken the boat took off and they shot out of the water like a rocket and all you heard were screams and shrills of joy, they had a blast.

Mischievous (Theme 349)

I changed this theme to fit my needs because this photo speaks volumes. Doesn't she look mischievous???? Bet you can't guess what she is doing here? LOL

Fear (Theme 158)

I used this for fear but in this case there was no fear and he just grinned and jumped. He even did some tricks I'm sure you will see on a future post. Love those 80's britches Mitch!!!

Expensive (Theme 251)

Yes, this was expensive for a Blount County resident that just wanted to burn a beehive that he knocked down. Too bad the fire spread and engulfed his home. No one was injured.

Celebrate (Theme 45)

The 3 boys can fit but little Z-man in the center had to hold on to Ryan because the handles close to him were being used...he had fun, Ryan and Jackson kept him safe.

Blur (Theme 227)

Here I am, the little one I have no idea who that big person is???LOL No, that is me with my bad elbow riding this inflated balloon because they said it was easy and you won't get hurt. No, I didn't get hurt but I had to hold on like there was no tomorrow, the didn't tell me that the more you weigh the more you bounce......paybacks will come later.

Balloon (Theme 262)

Ryan and Jackson had a blast riding around on a balloon for the lake. It bounced them all over the place but everyone said no, it's easy to ride....sure if you weigh less than 150 lbs. If not then your being bounced like a bobble head.

Volunteer (Theme 148)

This theme couldn't be more fitting for a group of Tennessee Fire Fighters. Tennessee is the Volunteer State. This is Captain Clark's shift posing in front of the Station. I put this layout together for one of the Fire Fighters so that he can have it signed by the crew and he will then send it to his son who is currently out of the country fighting the war.

Secret (Theme 52)

When the get in the huddle it's always a secret and really a code if you don't know what the play is. Can you pick out Ryan in this crowd??? Hint, he is #6.

Mystery (Theme 267)

It's always a mystery when you look in their eyes and wonder what they are thinking. I was standing at the front door and he came to see me then I called his name and he looked up at me. It turned out to be a great shot of him and I didn't even have to get out the treat box to make them pose......like that works, right?

Reminder (Theme 96)

This is my reminder of Molly. The day we buried her there were 2 butterflies just like this, if not this one, flying around the butterfly bushes and really making a show. It was a sad day for us but I know she is looking down on us letting us know she is ok now. I will think of her when I see these beautiful butterflies.

Print (Theme 95)

This is such a great shot of Bo. He is sitting in the window and I had the camera when he looked at me. I really like the lighting on his face so I chose this photo to be my print theme because I will do just that........print it.

Tomato (Theme 128)

One day my neighbor came over and said I have to say I'm sorry. I asked why and he told me he used our garden and planted tomatoes, peppers and broccoli because he ran out of room. We laughed and have enjoyed the garden together. Ryan is in charge of watering when Dennis can't do it so from what it looks like they both are doing a great job. Here are some cherry tomatoes and the have been growing like crazy all summer.

Shock (Theme 85)

Here I am sitting at my desk working on my site that you see on the screen. It's www.artisticscrapdesigns.com by the way. Well, normally I have my 2 cat close, (they follow me to every room of the house) but on this day they actually touched each other. I was shocked and grabbed the camera. The do get along but to lay together like this is so unusual.

Tiny (Theme 318)

Tiny is how this hive looks way up the tree and it can't be torched like the yellow jacket hive was in our yard. This is an active honey bee hive 2 doors down from us. The arrow is showing you were the hive is and the close up shows you that the bees are quite busy. The like our fountains that we all have and come to drink all the time. The owners of this hive are trying to find a bee keeper to get these pests without killing them off since honey bees are not as strong in numbers as they have been.

End (Theme 254)

Tom was out mowing the grass the other day. He came by this old stump and was hit in the leg. It was a nest of Yellow Jackets and he had to torch the hive to kill them off. They are some mean little things. His leg was hot and really bothered him for a few days. Unlike bee stings this one really packed a punch. In the red photo Tom and Ryan put a flair in the hive to get rid of the remaining stragglers. It was a really large hive and deep so they had been there for a while unbeknownst to us. Ryan is holding up part of the hive that was not burned beyond recognition.

Obstacle (Theme 49)

The obstacle here is for the hummingbird sitting on the branch on the right to get to the feeder. It looks easier enough but as soon as he tries to get there the females attack him. It's great entertainment for us all day long and this year we have so many more than last year. It is hard to keep the bees and the ants away.

Sugar (Theme 208)

Talk about sugar......here my friends/neighbors are enjoying a cool sugar rush frozen in plastic and they come in all ranges of colors from red, blue, yellow, green and orange. The kids love these things but don't tell them that the adults do too.

Computer is back

My computer came back and actually I was wrong it was not the operating system it was a bad video card. The heat unit on the card pops off. Dell buys these parts and this was a card from ATI that is POORLY made. The clasps that are to hold the heat unit on are to pop and expand but they are not using good parts so the heat unit comes all the way off. I will have to fight with Dell to get a new one so I can watch the TV thru the computer and tell them that if this happens again and it's not under warranty they still have to replace it because it will be an on going issue. Now the fight will be for a new card not someone elses problemed unit or what they like to call REFURBISHED. NEVER AGAIN will I buy a DELL (this is not the only problem I have had it is just added to the list of problems) it will be a MAC.

Bad Day Today

I woke up, started the coffee and turned on the computer.....it turned on and got as far as the desktop screen and poof......it went away. I call my computer guru friend to rescue me. I asked if I lost the hard drive or anything on it and he said I don't think so at all, I believe its the operating system (VISTA). He is picking my computer up today.....Sunday! What a great friend to help me like this on Sunday. Anyway, he will fix my computer...AGAIN and this time install XP!!!! Did I mention this is a Dell with it's Windows Vista and this is my LAST one.....next time I'm thinking MAC! The only hope I can have right now is that with the new operating system my computer will run much faster and have less issues.....I hope! Please pray that I don't lose a thing. I do have backups of things but it will take me a long time to get back what I had. So this is my bad day.....guess I will go clean the house since I don't have any excuses why I can't. Soon I will update my blog for the few days that I'm missing. Wish me luck.

Fancy Dress (Theme 134)

Riley is wearing one of her fancy dresses and she just looks so cute that I had to use this photo for the theme. I bet she isn't wearing this up on Alaska.......is she????

Life (Theme 200)

This is life in a fun way. We all had a blast out on the lake. The kids jumped off the boat time after time and made these strange sounds that Shane taught them. After hours of fun and sun we went home and talked about how we are going to do that again.......can't wait.

Joke (Theme 324)

The Dept has hired a new Fire Inspector and the current Inspector has set up his new office so when it's time for him to move into his new job he will be set. It looks like he will have everything he needs right here......don't you???

Portrait (Theme 322)

This is Captain Clark's shift at the Alcoa Fire Department. We will be sending this photo to one of the Fire Fighter's son who is currently serving in our Military over in Iraq. When we are done with the photo it will have a full showing of both of these engines and all the signatures of those on this shift.

Costume (Theme 303)

Erin dressed up for this photo......Fire Fighter Ernie to the rescue and Jr. Fire Fighter Avery close behind. We tried to get Avery to try on the jacket but she would have no part of it until Erin tried it on, then she would touch it but that is as far as she went. I guess she is just too girly!!!!

Wavy (Theme 197)

Shane said yes to going water skiing not have done so in over 12 years. Well, you would have never know it because he was pulled right out of the water and skiied like he did it every day. He was really good and in this photo he was coming back in to swim with us and let go of the rope and this was the best photo. Way to go Shane.......

Boat (Theme 31)

Summer fun in Grandpa Ed's boat and Regan and Ryan are being pulled on the tube. If you look closely so is Tom. He was on the raft and then grabbed onto the kids feet for a little ride. Look close and you will see the top of his head....oh he let go right after I took this but it got the kids going thinking they were going to be pulled off.

Hug (Theme 160)

This was a fun day on the lake with Pop. Erin was about to move to Anchorage, AK so we had to get in some summer swimming because I don't think she will be doing this much up there in the frozen waters of Alaska. We all had a wonderful time playing with the kids and visiting with each other. Here Dad is giving Erin and I a hug......awww, it's that so sweet?????

Cheese (Theme 171)

I had to say Cheese so Avery would look at me and smile. She is the one in the little Fire Truck being pushed by her cousin Regan and her sister Riley standing behind them watching.

Precious (Theme 87)

I said this theme was precious because I know it's a boy thing to take bugs and put them on you or someone else to freak them out. Here my son did this by hanging the dead bug on his retainer and walking up to all of us. The precious part is that some of the just FREAKED OUT!!! Ain't it great having boys around????

Souvenier (Theme 199)

Here we are getting a tour at the Fire Hall for my Sister and her family and Ryan walks up to us with this thing on his lip. In the next theme the faces on some of the crowd is PRICELESS. Take a look. OH, and yes the bug was dead.

Commitment (Theme 179)

Lake Ontario, NY and this is what Chuck was talking about. This skier saw us and came right over to play in the surf. It was great watching him jump and fly all over and the kids thought it was cool......so cool that they wanted to do it. Right, like that would happen!!!!
