Ruined (Theme 25)

Ok now i may get in trouble for this but you know, that's normal. This is a little story about a small flat napkin that once was. My Mother-in-law destroys these and now I have proof. Every time we are together I have a good laugh at the state of napkin after dinner. So, when's dinner???

Friendship (Theme 362)

This is Casey the Great Dane and he is no longer with us, sadly to say. I do miss him dearly. He was my best friend and liked to pretect and he did so in funny ways. He would lay on me, sit one me and get between anyone that was next to me like he was saying, "My mom." His favorite things to do was ride in my Honda Prelude and stick his head out of the sunroof as we drove. His ears would fly in the wind and his mouth would fill with air, so funny to watch. Those are just some of the reasons he is sadly missed.

Saturday, March 29

Exotic (Theme 62)

This is my wall of exotic cross stitich. The tree in the center I did by hand and those are a giraffe, white tiger eyes and the tiger face. The top is of my Meerkats and I did that on my embroidery machine in a few hours. The bottom one is of a cheetah that I did on the machine too. They all look the same and you will not be able to tell the difference in machine vs. hand as long as I get the holes lined up correctly. Isn't technology great???

Challenge (Theme 29)

The theme is challenge and this is the last page layout for a digital scrap class that I'm in and I did a few extra things and used different papers to come up with my layout. It was a fun class and I'm excited to learn more in the next one. I did this page for Grandma and the boys. In the top photo of Grandma, she is yelling at me to stop taking her picture. I seem to get that a lot these days but you know what..........I DON'T CARE!!!

Thursday, March 27

Flight (Theme 327)

The flowers are on my mini peach tree in my front garden and they only last a short time until the leaves come out. You can see the start of the red leaves at the end of the flower where the bee is headed. I was trying to capture the flurry of activity of bee's and here is my favorite one.....he's in flight!

Keyhole (Theme 162)

The house that this keyhole is in is now the Title Company office where I work. The building was built in the 1940's.

Tuesday, March 25

Gift (Theme 159)

This is one of the simplest yet nicest things. It's a glass block with christmas light inside and a ribbon. My Mother-in-law received this as a gift one year and displays it at Christmas time. It's a really nice decoration.

Monday, March 24

Postbox/Mailbox (Theme 94)

Snow covered mailbox and you can see that the snow was rather deep that day. We can only wish that we get a snow fall like that in TN but it rarely happens so we go visit family in New York.

Sunday, March 23

Doodle (Theme 80)

There are days that I have to take my kids to the office and Ryan sits there drawing pictures for my to decorate my walls. This is one of his doodles and I had to show it off. Now he's into drawing airplanes so it's hard to get him to make me somthing like this one and as you know, I'm tired of airplanes.......so tired.

Saturday, March 22

Waiting (Theme 353)

Waiting at the airport........ALL DAY. This was our day in Cincinnati that will not be forgotten. I will try but I don't think it will happen. I was exhaused by the middle of the day and at the end, well let's just say I was asleep before my head even hit the pillow.

Friday, March 21

Pancake (Theme 345)

Everyday Grandma would make pancakes for Ryan and finally she told him it was his turn so you see what he did. He ate so many that I think he will turn into a pancake.

Thursday, March 20

Knowledge (Theme 315)

Here is a wealth of knowledge just sitting here on a shelf in the back of my office. T.C.A. books with all the decisions of past cases in Tennessee Law.

Wednesday, March 19

Generations (Theme 205)

Ryan and his Grandfather, Bob and his mother, Rose. Ryan's father is missing in this photo then I would have 4 generations but for now we will have to work with 3. Ryan is holding a train that his father used to spend hours playing with.

Hat (Theme 4)

The boys were running around the house and my nephew, Aaron came around the corner with this hat on and we just laughted so having my camera handy I took his picture. He is so cute and such a love. He will just come up to you and give you a huge hug for no reason.

Casual (Theme 140)

Here is my Brother-in-law in New York showing his rugged side. If this isn't casual then I'm sadly mistaken by what the CASUAL means. He is warm, comfortable and relaxed and this picture shows off his fun personality. I laughed each time I would look at him riding the snowmobile and his hat looked like long ears flapping in the wind. We had a fantastic time with them.

Traffic (Theme 185)

If this board doesn't show traffic, I don't know what does. Most of these flights cancelled due to weather. Glad I was stuck inside instead of outside in the blizzard.

Eyes (Theme 67)

We were stuckin the snow on an active runway in a Delta plan in Cincinnati during a blizzard. Doesn't she look thrilled? We all were but now it's over and we have something to talk about out of the norm and photos to prove it.

Distorted (Theme 348)

We were in a Delta plane looking out the window at the de-icing machine and as you can see the view was distorted due to the ice. It was a bad day but at least I was able to get some fun photos.

Birds (Theme 143)

I know, the theme is birds but in this was my favorite bird photo. I saw this dark spot up in the sky, thinking it was a Hawk I took a picture. It wasn't until I got home and zoomed in to see it that I realized it was a Bald Eagle. I was thrilled. I did this page in CS3.......This was taken at the same park where my son is tubing and the theme is Monday.

Monday (Theme 355)

Monday we arrived in Syracuse, NY to visit with our family and my Father-in-law took us to Longbranch Park to tube down the hill. Ryan had a blast playing in the snow. We don't get much snow at home so it was hard to get him back inside even when he was cold or I was frozen.

North (Theme 221)

We headed up North to see our Uncle Red and Aunt Vic's camp.....it hasn't changed in years. The snow was deep but not as deeps as the last time we were there. Behind the kids you see how high the snow is up the side of the cabin. Last time we visited the snow on the ground and the snow on the roof met. We had to look down to see the door.

Sunday, March 9

Lost (Theme 241)

Lost is my theme here in that look at the vehicles driving around the Cincinnati airport on March 8, 2008. Blizzard at its best. They look lost to me. Somehow they find their way without an accident but I don't see how, I'm lost here.
I have not altered these photos as of yet. I want to make them brighter but don't have the time right now. I will post these blizzard photos again after I work on them.

Performance (Theme 12)

Yesterday my kids and I arrived at the Cincinnati Airport and this snowblower was making a path for us and other planes to get to the terminal. I call this performance since I already used the power theme. What a day from hell. After 13 hours I ended up getting home instead of NY like the plan. Will attempt it again soon.

Friday, March 7

Sky (Theme 161)

Early one morning looking from my subdivision to the northern edge of the City of Alcoa and at the Smoky Mountains. Many days you can't see much of the mountains becuase of the clouds being low and that is why it was named The Smoky Mountains, it looks like smoke.

Blue (Theme 37)

Driving past our downtown I snapped this shot of the Sunsphere and just played around with the picture in photoshop using gradients and I liked this erie blue look so I added the lettering.

Thursday, March 6

Sunrise (Theme 71)

One morning early I looked out the back door and saw sky all colored in purple and pink. I grabbed my camera and ran outside.....no shoes and in the middle of January. I would say it was well worth the cold tootsies to get this shot.

Wednesday, March 5

Pastel (Theme 18)

I'm in a scrapbook class online and this was our first layout. These are photos I have taken this year so they count for the 2008 and I put them together with this pastel layout, I hope it counts. This is my wonderful family, and I love them.

Tuesday, March 4

Signs (Theme 350)

There is no way anyone could miss this sign because there are 2 of them. One on each side of the road and at both ends of the bridge. This is the bridge that passes over Norris Dam.

Monday, March 3

Fuzzy (Theme 337)

Walking around the quarry at Ijams Nature Center I spotted this moss. It looks rather strange but I guess this is normal for moss and in the Nature Center is was everywhere and in every shape, size and color.

Sunday, March 2

Footprint (Theme 153)

The lakes and rivers are down this time of year and due to the drought of 2007 that we have yet to catch up on. Raccoons are hard to spot with the camera but here are some signs they are out and about.

Saturday, March 1

Big (Theme 144)

Downtown Knoxville is home to the Tennessee Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. Inside is a great museum dating back years and years of many things I did not know. If you are ever in our area, this is a nice place to visit. Downstairs they have a place for parties and a gym divided into 4 sections for shoot a little hoop. Each section is from a different time.
