Mask (Theme 181)

We were in the visitors center in the Smoky Mountians and Ryan like to play with everything. He tried on the mask and Tom put the hat on and it was so funny so I took his photo.

Tangled (Theme 69)

Walking around Cades Cove and Regan spotted this under the railing on an old house. Spider eggs.......I think. Uck but the web is tangled so it fit the theme.

Cafe (Theme 84)

I know it's not so much a cafe but close enough......the red roof area is the outdoor bar. It's a great place to come get ribs and its close to Club Ed!

Chilly (Theme 243)

I know it doesn't look it but this is our summer scene and now it's quite chilly. The point you see on the lake in the center is Yarberry and we like to spend a great deal of time here boathing, camping and relaxing. It's also known as Club Ed!

Clothes (Theme 178)

Z-man and Ryan were playing and they both decided to dress Z up in his uniform. I love how the pants fit......too "STINKIN" funny!!! Ryan came in and said get you camera you have to see this.....he was right. It was hysterical and Z danced and posed for me....I have proof!

Jewelry (Theme 329)

This is my charm bracelet........well, not really a real one but close enough and I like it better. It doesn't bother my wrist. Ha!!! These are all recent photos of us.

Knot (Theme 11)

Here we were flying and the kids were more thrilled with the golf cart. Funny how that works out.

Creek (Theme 351)

My friends from Australia were in and we ventured all over our area and this was taken at the Y near Cades Cove. She stopped when I called her name and looked up......no pose here, she stopped on some rocks so she wouldn't fall in the creek. The water was really cold.

Paint (Theme 102)

I went to a Fall Festival in Corryton with a friend of mine that does face painting. They do a wonderful job so if you happen to see them "Making Faces" at any event you will see a long line......they are that good. Yes.........this is me and I was painted. Ryan is the football face in green for his Halloween Dance.

I need to be cloned so I can work here, work on my sports photos, work at home.......you know the drill. Thanks for looking and keep an eye out for the new updates.

Turbine (Theme 216)

The Dam in Loudon has this large turbine sitting in the parking area for all to see. No wonder they have HUGE signs that say WARNING, DANGEROUS WATERS. After seeing this you can bet I will not be in the area with even a finger out of the boat.

Railing (Theme 30)

At the "Y" just before you turn to go to Cades Cove there is a swimming hole that is very popular. What caught my eye this time was the railing on the other side of the road. Everyone joked on me about photographing it but this photo is one of my favorite and I don't care what they say.......Like it ever stopped me before! HA!

Pumpkin Head (Theme 276)

At the Christmas Place Al came up to me and said, "Have you ever seen a pumpkin head?" I said, "No, but I bet you are going to show me!" Well, he did. The topic of conversation around pumpkins with Marg and Al was that our pumpkins here in the USA are bright orange and in Australia theirs are a bluish gray and one of the main ingredients for soups and veggies. I have only used pumpkin for pies......I think I like our version better in thought so I will have to go to Australia to test it out.

Puddles (Theme 274)

The Chilhowee water level is down so work can be done on the dam. We were able to walk down the boat ramp and out on what used to be filled with water. In various places there are puddles and this one showed the view behind the lake. It was even full of minos.

Friday, October 10

Pepper (Theme 82)

On the visit to Pigeon Forge, TN with Marg and Al we stopped by the Christmas Place. Outside of the shops there are gardens, tables and decorations. These peppers were growing there and I just loved the colors.

Thursday, October 9

Moonlight (Theme 346)

Loudon Dam in Loudon, TN and we were there at dusk. The lights were just beautiful as you can see in this photo.

Wednesday, October 8

Money (Theme 60)

How about this for a colorful note. This is the $10 bill in Australian Currency. The $5 is pink, $20 is orange and there are other colors but Marg and Al didn't have any on them to show us. What a beautiful bill.

Missed (Theme 136)

This is the starting point for entering "Tail of the Dragon" which is a famous place for bikers of all ages. It's very dangerous as you can see because someone missed the curve. The Dragon is 316 curves in 11 miles and takes you from Maryville, TN to Robbinsville, NC. There are some fast records for completing the dragon and because of this record the death toll keeps rising. It's considered to be one of the most dangerous roads to travel. If you happen to cross The Dragon........don't get bitten!!!

Leaf (Theme 245)

We stopped at the "Y" at the split between Cades Cove and Gatlinburg to let Marg and Al see a summer hot spot. The water was down and they walked across the creek jumping on rocks and fallen tree limbs and boy was the water cold. Here are a few minos and leaves in one of the shallow areas.

Jagged (Theme 255)

Regan is holding up the paw of a black bear found in the Smoky Mountains. Those claws sure are jagged and sharp. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of a swat from that paw.

Invention (Theme 65)

Touring Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains with our friends from Australia we were lucky enough to see the blacksmith shop in action.

Float (Theme 195)

Walking on the docks in Loudon Ryan played with these so bouies I thought it was fitting for a float theme.

Duplicate (Theme 193)

This is a duplicate because I have already posted a Church in the past. The Cades Cove Church is a highly visited spot in the Cove and even has a working piano that my friend played when we went in. Way to go Marg for your musical talent.

Dam (Theme 300)

Soft spot in the Dam at Chilhowee and the water was lowered 35-40 feet. We are seeing things that were once deep under the surface. Here is a view of a van that Tom dove a while back and Ryan playing with rocks. The water should be up near Regan's feet.......really low isn't it!!

Saturday, October 4

Monument (Theme 282)

Tom and I are standing on a bridge at Chilhowee Lake that is normally under water. There were some "Soft Spots" at the dam and they were doing repairs. We walked underwater so to speak.....or all over that should be under about 35-40" of water. Ryan took our picture but keeps shooting....my fault for not turning off the continuous shoot. Guess that's what I get for letting a 10 yr old use my camera!!!

Park (Theme 35)

We went to the balloon festival and had a great time. There were over 20 balloons including the Enegrizer bunnie that was 165' tall. They all were beautiful and the weather was cool/overcast. Not great for letting the balloons go up but then if they did we wouldn't have had the great light show.
