Red (Theme 47)

How about a new duley that just came from the shop where it was outfitted with light and Alcoa Fire Department decals. This truck is now known as Support 1 and will help AFD in a great many ways from transporting the trailers for Haz-Mat, Safety Trailer and the Trench Rescue Trailer along with numerous other tasks. When this truck runs, you would never really know it and it's a diesel, it is so quiet.

Are fire departments getting back to red equipment? For a while it seemed they were all using the yellow/green color. Should be red, in my opinion...

Julie, our FD has always been red but in Knoxville or Knox County they have green where Knoxville City has red. Each department choses their color and most like to make trucks stand out so that is why you see different color trucks. That way you know if it's a County or City department by color. The standard is red. I really don't care for the green (and it's a bright lime green almost neon) or white is another version.
